Lesson #1: Be Christ-Centered

23 Oct

It has to start here. This is where our relevance starts and ends in any Christian ministry – regardless of your target audience. Face it. You can’t be more entertaining than Nickelodeon (no matter how good your drama team is) and you can’t be more addictive than an Xbox (even if you have a really creative incentives for learning verses). Individuals have to be drawn to the church because of the gospel; because that really is the only thing we can offer.

Christ-centeredness ought to manifest itself in every aspect of your ministry. Jesus must be front and center. To shift focus away from Christ is to quit before you have begun.
